Maybe not really day two exactly, but the second FULL day of the twins' life, and it's my blog, so I'm counting as day two.
Here's what I've learned so far:
1) They poop. A lot. Like three times within a few minutes.
2) Their poop is actually not as tar-like as I was told in all the horror stories. Maybe that actually happened while they were in the nursery overnight, in which case score one for us for avoiding it.
3) They really do pee while you're changing them. All over themselves and everything else. Through years of avoiding being peed on, I however managed to stay clear. Me: 1, Max: 0. Nice try, though.
4) I'm becoming a beast at swaddling. I'd like to challenge myself and swaddle something larger, like a Grizzly bear, but alas, there are none around.
5) This is going to cost more than I thought.
When can they legally start working?

They're Here
... They're really here. They weren't supposed to come on the day they did. They were supposed to come next week. But they're here, as of yesterday at 15:55 on June 9, 2008 (Is this a military hospital? What's with the time format?).
One of the most bizarre, odd days of my life. And I was really just supposed to go to work and do my normal thing ... look like I'm working.
Nevertheless, we're family now. And so it starts. All the late nights, the joy, the pain, the endless conversations with parents that I'm sure I'll equally enjoy and get tired of.
Bring it on. They're great. It will all be worth it, I'm sure.
